Our guiding principle in developing the visual identity of this project was to express the essence of the client’s vision for the gelato store. The project started with selecting the name Zohar, the client’s family name; we found it unique and appealing. We immediately knew emphasis on the Z would be the center of visual identity development.
Process, experience, and user experience shaped the brand’s ethos was driven by three keywords: crafted, indulgent, and enchanted (user group). We further paved the exploration process via the study of color palettes, textures, imagery, and typefaces to determine the direction that is true to the brand. The client was indecisive about using the family name during the project but decided to move forward once they saw the proposed branding design. The success of the visual identity is a cohesive storytelling method
